Support KRCS

The King's Ridge Fund

WELCOME TO A
NEW CHAPTER OF GIVING

Inspired by this year’s school theme, United in Christ, our community is coming together as one school with one shared purpose. In the past, we fostered friendly competition between the Lower, Middle, and High Schools. Today, we recognize that our greatest strength lies in our unity. Our entire King's Ridge community is now working together toward one collective goal: investing in the future of our school, our faculty, and our students. Together, every gift matters!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

List of 6 items.

  • Why doesn't KRCS just charge a higher tuition? Is the Annual Fund necessary?

Like most independent schools, we rely on families, alumni, and friends to make tax-deductible gifts that fund a significant portion of our operations. While tuition covers most operating expenses, unrestricted gifts allow King's Ridge Christian School to keep improving by investing in the essential elements of our mission. The King's Ridge Fund bridges the gap between tuition and the full cost of a KRCS education, allowing us to keep tuition accessible while delivering an exceptional experience.
  • How does my gift specifically benefit my child?

Every dollar you give to the fund enhances your child's classroom and extracurricular experience. Your donation ensures that KRCS can recruit and retain the best faculty and staff. It directly impacts advanced campus security and updated technology initiatives. It also advances our school's mission by equipping students to know, believe, and serve.
  • How much should I give, and does my participation really matter?

Only you know your family's finances and charitable priorities. We ask that you prayerfully consider making KRCS one of your top charitable priorities. Our goal is always 100% participation! When our school community is invested, we can directly enhance a student's educational experience. High participation also strengthens our case when seeking support from outside foundations. Each year, we see small gifts come together for a big impact.
  • What is The 2001 Society?

The 2001 Society recognizes leadership donors who demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the mission of King's Ridge Christian School through annual giving. Named in honor of the year KRCS was founded, the Society celebrates individuals who support our school with gifts of $2,001 or more.

By participating, you will be recognized for your leadership in the school's Annual Report and join other members at the Thanks for Giving Breakfast in November.

  • What is the difference between a pledge and a gift?

A pledge is a promise to make a gift on a future date, over a period of time, or through multiple payments. A gift is a one-time donation or a pledge payment (made by cash, check, online credit card, or stock transfer). You can pledge now and pay your pledge later in the year! The initiative runs yearly from July 1 through June 30.
  • Can I give an appreciated stock or set up a corporate matching gift?

Yes! Donating appreciated securities is a tax-advantaged way to support KRCS, providing a tax deduction without incurring capital gains tax. Additionally, many companies set up matching gift programs that effectively double your contribution. Please contact the Office of Development for stock transfer instructions or questions about matching gifts.
